I Upgraded My Telecaster Without Soldering 😂 EMG T System Install

I decided it was finally time to upgrade the electronics in my no-name Telecaster… and this time, I found an upgrade that didn’t require me to break out the soldering iron. 😂

In this skit, I’m installing the EMG T System Prewired Telecaster Guitar Pickup Set + Control Plate System.

The system comes prewired and includes the control plate, pots, selector switch, output jack, and solderless connections making this a surprisingly easy Telecaster upgrade.

And yes… I bought a 9V battery compartment.

And yes… I’m not using it. 😂

Instead, I’m keeping the battery inside the control cavity and securing it with foam so it doesn’t rattle around or accidentally contact the electronics.

This is another step in upgrading my no-name Telecaster, and I’m pretty happy with how this one turned out.
