Installing Telecaster String Through Ferrules #customguitar

Because this nice #customguitar is a #telecaster, it needs string through, and because it has a contoured heel joint it also needs neck ferrules. Two strategic points I’ll make about placement. It would be nice to have a large enough drill press to go straight through from the top, but I don’t. So I ended up drilling just two string throughs from the top with small holes, and then some re-measuring on the back. Also I don’t care about the placement of the neck holes being standard. It’s more important they look right and are structurally sound on the custom neck heel. Remember this is a metric Tele.

With all this drilling in a guitar, I figured I needed to use the #originalmusic #indierock version of The Specialist as the background song. There’s also the Power Down acoustic version, so enjoy them both wherever you stream.
