Thinline Telecaster – Oscar the Grouch Green #telecasterfender #telecaster #guitar #guitarist

I had the opportunity recently to pick up a Squier Classic Vibe 60s Telecaster Thinline. Mostly. I got everything except for the body and bridge plate. It had all been pulled off of a new guitar that had been damaged in shipping beyond repair.

I found a really nice Chinese made Thinline body with the back in cherry and the front of the guitar is only what I can describe as Oscar the Grouch Green.

I don’t know why but I think it is pretty cool looking and I think will make for a very fine Thinline Classic Vibe guitar.

It was a simple assembly. I installed the supplied string ferrules. Followed by installing all of the wiring harness and pickups into the large Thinline style pickguard.

Once I installed the electronics into the body of the guitar, I tested the pickups before continuing on.

I am constantly amazed at the quality of the pickups Squier is installing in the Classic Vibe guitars. The sound coming from them ranks in my top five favorite pickups.
