Mike Campbell Showcases his Fender Custom Shop Heartbreaker | Fender

In this exclusive Fender interview, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell showcases his new Limited Edition Fender Custom Shop Heartbreaker, cloned after his longtime Fender Broadcaster.

“With a blindfold test I might not be able to tell the difference – that’s how close it is,” said Campbell.

Led by Master Builder Dale Wilson, the Fender Custom Shop Dream Team worked exhaustively to clone Campbell’s original Broadcaster. From the nail scratch on the front of the lower horn to the soldering iron burn near the output jack and the chipped nut, the new signature model is visually and sonically comparable to Campbell’s beloved companion.
