A special guitar this one! It’s a Fender Tel;ecaster with 3, I repeat THREE pickups! Actually it isn’t even that… it’s a Fender Telecaster with 9 pickups! This guitart is unique insomuch as it has a single piezo pickup under each saddle for an acoustic (simulated) sound. I love the fat that it also has a middle Stratocaster pickup too. This guitar is a tone machine (and some say tone is in the fingers).

Not the first time I have seen this guitar but it’s owner wanted to upgrade his pickups so I suggested we give it an annual check-over. Good job really as we needed to attend to a few high frets. The frets were something I considered putting off until next time as the low end indented frets would need attending to but on discoverin, on closer inspection, that there were a high number of high spots over half of the frets, I decided to do the fret level and pickup upgrades in one fell swoop.
